We all BHARTIYA hv been watchin a “BREAKING NEWS” since last few days and i.e. whether or not MNIK shud b released??... Its vry unfortunate for our country whr thr are othr probs to solve and our leaders & political parties are indulged in a discussion ovr the release of a film. Ironically, it was fortunate to see our country UNITE ovr ONE issue though small and less significant but at least it denoted a starting.
Another irony is tht in a DEMOCRATIC nation like BHARAT whr MAJORITY WINS, few hundred ppl succeeded in bullying lakhs of other ppl. Shiv Sainiks must b wondering if elections cud b won wth a similar eqn (using violence as the weapon). Even when the ruling party ensured security to theatres, the film dint release in the morning.
Shiv Sena says it wants peace and happiness in the state but it overlooked the fact tht ppl wanted the movie to release. They vandalized the theatres wch led to damage of property, affected the economy of state and still they talk abt the prosperity of the state. It wud hv not changed ideology or belief of SRK if he had apologized jus to satisfy the ego of Thackeray. I think we can’t change anybody’s thinking or take on smthng by forcing them. We are in a democracy and everyone has a right to speak. If u disagree wth wat smone has said, u also hv an equal right to express urslf but within the boundaries of law.
At the end of it, as SRK himself had said in one of his films --- “Hindi picture ki tarah humari life me bhi end tak sab theek ho jata hai … happys endings … aur agar aisa na ho to picture abhi baki hai mere dost …” The release day was like one of those films. The situation was tensed and unclear till afternoon but as it released, all Mumbai theatres got house-full within 10 minutes. People chose their own way of telling Shiv Sena tht they knw wat is right and wrong. They went to theatres despite threats and gave their verdict. They REPAIRED IT BY THEMSLEVES n thts wat the movie was about tht if we are honest and unite for a good cause, we can do anything. Nobody can stop us. It was about humanity and love towards mankind. Shiv Sena shud watch it.
